  • Nathan Spoor and myself have co curated an exhibit highlighting risqué works from 40 artists from all over the place. We asked each artist involved to create an 8x10in piece of art that they find risqué.  The results are fantastic!   The show opens September 19th- November 10th

Please email me if you wish to see a preview-

    Group Exhibition
    May 4th- June 1st

Just finished this one, thought I’d post it now, It’s a bit early though.  I’ll do another post with more info as time gets closer.

MondoPOP Gallery presents their major spring group exhibition, Suggestivism Rome. This exhibit, curated by Nathan Spoor, features 34 of the new contemporary art scene’s most talented and intriguing artists. The concept of Suggestivism does not center around claiming a title for giving any movement a name, but for introducing a common creative thread amongst several disparate and unique voices within the modern art world… and I’m honored to be in this show!

This exhibit will be at MondoPop Gallery May 4th-June 1st.  Then travel to Rete Museala in Cosenza Italy late June- October.  Here’s my piece for this one, titled “Another Event in Progress”

  • Just finished this last night.  I painted this piece for a tribute/celebration exhibition of Ralph Steadman’s work.  The show includes many great artists and I’m honored to be a part of this.   Curated by Nathan Spoor and hosted by Tag Galleries, this show will travel on the east coast and maybe get out here. Fingers crossed!

    Here’s more info-

This show is a curated collection as an overall tribute and show of appreciation to Ralph Steadman and his impact on the contemporary art world, and on a micro level also to celebrate Ralph’s relationship and contributions to Flying Dog Brewery over the years (producing all of their artwork, beer labels, logos, advertising graphics, etc.). A series of Ralph’s works will be present with the collection and getting input from a variety of people he has been connected to over the years. The primary beneficiary of proceeds for this event will be the Gonzo Foundation (founded by Hunter S. Thompson’s wife to support the continual progression of journalism and art that Hunter and Ralph played such a huge role in). In addition to supporting a great cause and important foundation, this collection be viewed by Gonzo members, supporters, and key players such as Anita Thomson, Ralph Steadman, Johnny Depp, Bill Murray, Jack Nicholson, Sean Penn, and others who remain close to the Gonzo family.   Pretty cool huh?

More updates to come as the show gets closer-

  • Curator Nathan Spoor put together a show called Kindred at Bold Hype Gallery in New York.  Each Piece is 12x12in, so I did another swamp booger, I’m calling it simply “Alan”.  They’ve been on my mind lately.  I did some post its for GR2 late last year featuring these savage rascals, I think i just like how the deer’s ass has an important role in these taxidermied gems. I’m paying my dues to the beast.  The show opens Thursday March 14th, and should be a good one for sure!
